Israeli settlers attack occupied West Bank town

 **Israel's War on Gaza**

Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi's strong remarks follow Israel's killing of 31 people in the Nuseirat refugee camp amid intensified air and ground attacks across Gaza.

UN humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths has warned of "apocalyptic" consequences due to aid shortages in Gaza, as the crucial Rafah and Karem Abu Salem crossings remain "effectively blocked."

Meanwhile, Israel's war cabinet member Benny Gantz has threatened to resign from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's government if a post-war plan for Gaza is not presented by June 8.

Since October 7, at least 35,456 people have been killed and 79,476 wounded in Israeli attacks on Gaza. The death toll in Israel from Hamas's attack stands at 1,139, with dozens still held captive.

Any Israel-approved group ruling post-war Gaza to face opposition: Report

Locals in Gaza assert that no Israel-approved group could take control of the war-torn coastal enclave, according to sources cited by Israeli media outlet Haaretz.

A prominent Gaza personality, who spoke anonymously to Haaretz, stated, "Anyone who dares to take on the task is at best an executive contractor who has no ability to withstand pressure, and at worst will be under the auspices of Israel, and therefore will not receive cooperation from the Palestinian factions, including the Palestinian Authority, and certainly not from Hamas."

Furthermore, political factions in Gaza and senior officials in Ramallah agree on what they see as the "ultimate solution to the situation" – the deployment of a "multinational force into Gaza that will operate under the auspices of the United Nations," Haaretz reported.

Haaretz noted that this arrangement would be temporary, lasting only until a political process is initiated to achieve a two-state solution.
