Two far-right Israeli ministers have threatened to leave and break up the ruling coalition if Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu agrees to a ceasefire proposal unveiled by US President Joe Biden.

Finance Minister Bezalel Smotris and National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gavir said any deal before Hamas is destroyed is against Israel's interests.

However, the opposing position of Israel's coalition. Opposition leader Yair Lapid has pledged to support the ruling Netanyahu government if it backs the anti-war plan.

Earlier, the Israeli prime minister himself insisted that they would not enter into a permanent ceasefire until the regime and military power of Hamas is destroyed and all hostages are released.

Mr. Biden's cease-fire proposal would begin with a six-week cease-fire. Where the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) will withdraw from populated areas of Gaza. The agreement calls for the subsequent release of all hostages, an end to permanent hostilities, and a comprehensive reconstruction plan for Gaza.

After this proposal of President Biden, in a post on social media on Saturday, Finance Minister Mr. Smotris said he mr. He told Netanyahu that he would not be part of the government's process if Netanyahu agreed to the proposed framework without destroying Hamas and bringing back all the hostages.

Mr. expressed almost the same attitude. Ben-Gavir said the deal meant an end to the war and a departure from the goal of destroying Hamas. He termed the deal as counterproductive, saying it means the victory of terrorism, which threatens the security of the State of Israel.

Instead of agreeing to this proposal, he spoke of "dissolving the government".

Mr. Netanyahu's right-wing coalition holds a slim majority in parliament. Mr. Ben-Gavir's Otzma Yehudit (Jewish Power) party has six seats. And Mr. Smotris's Religious Zionism Party has only seven seats. They are in parliament as a coalition to stay in power.

On the other hand, one of the most influential opposition politicians in Israel is Yair Lapid. He offered his support to Prime Minister Netanyahu in this crisis. His party Yesh Atid is in parliament with 24 seats. Those who have a good future in politics.

"We have support for Netanyahu for a hostage deal if Ben-Gavir and Smotris leave the government," he said.
